Who does not like to have beautiful pictures? Specially now a days that it is very easy with cellphones and apps to get great shots ourselves. But sometimes we need the professional touch depending on the special occasion: a wedding,  new baby born, birthday, professional profiles or any celebration even if it is just for fun.

I am not a model, so a camera in front of me could make me feel nervous easily but I must confess I really enjoyed doing it and I had a great time.

I had to prepare the material for the blog, so I needed the best team and I knew who they were: my friends Lorena Manrique y Andrés Vargas. I met both of them when I was a little girl.

After long years without seeing each other, and while we were “working” we remembered our days living out of Lima and talked about our lives, our inspirations and dreams (something we have in common is that we have a lot) and the most important thing, we were talking about how we are building them.

It was a wonderful experience and I am very happy with the results!

So, I think this tips could help you if you are planning to have a photo shoot:

  1. The pictures need to show yourself. Do not try  sophisticated nor complicated poses. While shooting, Andrés was asking me about what I wanted and how I felt and my expressions came naturally.
  2. Wear something comfortable. For your hair and make up choose something you have tried before so when you see at the mirror you could feel and recognise yourself. With Lorena we agreed on a natural and joyful look; I chose jeans and being barefoot as it is the way I feel happy and comfortable to play with my two boys.
  3. Have a nice sleep the night before. Even if make up is magical, been rested will make you feel in a better and open mood.
  4. Work with people whom inspires you. I have chosen not only talented artists but I feel comfortable with them in a personal level.
  5. Choose a location you know. This will help for you to be more relaxed.
  6. Smile and have fun! At the end, this is all about.

So, here my favourite shots, thanks Lore and Andres for your time and love!

  4. Busca a quienes te inspiren y te hagan sentir cómoda. No solo escogí a artistas talentosos sino con quienes me siento muy a gusto a nivel personal.
